Luanne Oleas, writer, was born in the Salinas Valley, the setting for FLYING BLIND. That book won the East of Eden Writers Conference novel-writing contest and the 2018 San Mateo County Fair Publishers Choice award for new novels.
She lives in California with her husband, a former cropduster, and her two cats. She has written five novels (4 unpublished) and numerous short stories. She currently works full-time on her novels, and previously worked as a reporter, features writer and humor columnist for The Californian, a Gannett newspaper and then as a technical writer. Several of her newspaper columns have been reprinted in Readers Digest, Parenting Magazine, The San Jose Mercury, and on the Web.
